Dangerous cosmetics - truth or false view

Summary
According to the law of cosmetics "each of cosmetic product should be safe for people" [Dz. U. 2001, Nr 42, poz. 473 z późn. zm.]. Most cosmetics do not pose a health risk when the direction on the label are followed and the product is used properly. However, some of the cosmetic ingredients can cause allergic reaction and give rise to serious reaction for people life, too. The most serious ingredients are: parabens, triclosan, phtalates, formaldehyde and heavy metals. It was shown that some of them are carcinogenic. Nevertheless they are still in use in cosmetic formula, because they are in hiding by using of different names according to INCI (International Nomenclature Cosmetics Ingredients).
