The most cases of acne vulgaris are diagnosed during adolescence but some people over 40 still struggle with acne lesions. This dermatosis affects up to 9.4% of the Earth´s population. It shows the scale of the problem. Acne is manifested by the occurrence of characteristic skin lesions. Etiopathogenesis is complex and includes endogenous and exogenous factors. People with acne often experience internal discomfort. That is why acne is not only a cosmetic defect but has a psychosocial dimension. Preventive actions including proper diet, stress reduction, hygiene and skin care can be effective in alleviating acne. People experienced by this disease have a real impact on its course and skin condition. The aim is to present the influence of some exogenous factors on the course of acne.
