Its valuable properties are used in both the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. It is a rich source of natural compounds that have strong antioxidant, bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties, used in the prevention and treatment of many diseases. Among the main varieties of honey, you can distinguish between nectar honey, which is known as flower, honeydew and mixed honey. The composition of honey is very diverse chemically, depends primarily on the type and species of plants from which nectar was collected, fall, and also from the season of the year. Honey is a valuable cosmetic ingredient, supporting greatly effects of skin care products as well as the ones having healing properties. It moisturizes and soothes skin irritations, which is why it is a frequent component of cosmetics.
