Mandelic acid and its cosmetic application

Summary
Mandelic acid belongs to alpha-hydroxy acids. It naturally occurs in bitter almonds. Mandelic acid is using in cosmetology as a chemical peel for surface exfoliation. Is one of the most delicate exfoliating agents and it can be used for sensitive skin. It is recommended for skin with spots, oily skin, skin with acne and skin with wrinkles. Treatments with mandelic acid can be carried out throughout the year. It is important that in order to achieve effective effects a series of treatments is needed and their number depends on the condition of the skin before the procedure. However, it is necessary to remember about possible contraindications and before performing the procedure perform an accurate cosmetology interview to avoid side effects.
