The subject of the undertaken study resulted from an increased interest of the cosmetics market in natural preparations including DIY (Do It Yourself) cosmetics. Aim. Development of the formula and performance of basic tests of creams (DIY) with nanosilver and natural cosmetic ingredients of potential antibacterial effect. Material and methods. Tests of creams were performed according to the guidelines of the Polish Pharmacopoeia X. Their pH, hardness, extensibility, loss of volatile components, antimicrobial activity were examined. Results and conclusions. The produced creams are rheologically stable and have a pH suitable for human skin. Microbiological tests have confirmed their effectiveness against bacteria. Creams containing liposomes with nanosilver and natural cosmetic ingredients (DIY) may be an alternative for antibacterial cosmetics available on the market.
