Summary
Stem cells being undifferentiated cells that can differentiate into specialized cells, create many possibilities for the modern world, on how to use them. They have been described in every organism, as located within the tissues and organs, where they are responsible for tissues regeneration - the self-renewal that enables the maintenance of the homeostasis. Thus they have been also found in the skin, allowing it to self-renewal, which is gradually during the life-span retarded. Nowadays, the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry is looking for any substances or complexes, which could be used to "fight" the signs of aging of the skin. Therefore, harvesting animal stem cells makes an impressive to use them in cosmetics and cosmetology. There are only a few complexes obtained from the stem cells of animal origin - from deer antlers, St. Jacobs spotted sheep´s tissue, or human fat tissue. They are extremely active and effective substances that can affect human dermis and epidermis, stimulating them to recovery by activating the natural physiological processes. They can cause e.g., the proliferation of skin stem cells, the improvement of the blood circulation and the nutritional oxygenation of the skin, the activation of collagen and elastin fibers synthesis.

Key words: deer antlers stem cells, St. Jacobs spotted sheep´s stem cells, fat tissue stem cells
