Michalski Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa Kosmetyki i Pielęgnacji Zdrowia w Warszawie Summary Introduction. The paper describes the fundamental issues related to the determinants of career success, career planning and professional development in the context of a cosmetologist. Aim. The aim of the study was to reach the graduates of cosmetology faculties and discover whether and how to their education affected their career path. Material & methods. The data was collected from 500 graduates of cosmetology departments of different universities located in the Mazovia voivodeship. As an investigating tool a questionaire containing formulated closed questions was used. Conclusions. The collected results provide information about the positions held by the respondents, their financial situation, assess the current situation and opportunities for professional advancement and career development plans from the perspective of college completed.
