Assessment of the skin condition after collagen supplementation in reference to results of an apparatus measuring the moisture content of the skin

Summary
Background. Nutritional supplements are popular solution among consumers to support skin health. Supplements contain proteins, vitamins and minerals, which have a beneficial impact on natural functions of the skin.
Aim. The aim of study was determine to which level can supplements, based on fish collagen, improve moisturizing of the skin.
Material and Methods. Study was conducted on a group of 19 women in age 30-72. The measurement of skin hydratation was made by CM 1 - Corneometer® CM 825. Volunteers took supplements by 3-months period.
Results. Noble HealthClass A Collagen Suplements improve skin hydratation.
Conclusions. Supplements, based on collagen and complementary substances have big research potential, which suggest the need for further research.
