Cosmetologist is a specialist who performs caring-beautifying cosmetology procedures based on earlier diagnosis. Cosmetologist can independently solve practical problems using gathered skills and knowledge but also taking to the consideration attitudes, standards and values, which causes having specific social skills in this profession to be very important. Cosmetic studies must provide graduates with professional training in this area by achieving specific results, which include the most difficult to validate social skills. The key is to find a method of teaching that meets expectations in terms of development of social competence. It seems that Drama can be the method. Aim. Analysis of the impact Drama as a method of teaching, on the development of social competences reported in the outcomes of courses in cosmetology education cosmetology students in comparison with traditional methods. Materials and methods. An educational experiment was conducted. Drama was introduced to the process of education. It was observed what changes occur in the social competence under the influence of this new factor in compared with the control group. Results. Thanks to the use of drama students developed their social skills to the higher extent that group trained with traditional methods. Conclusions. The study shows spectacular effects and opportunities in front of the drama as tool shaping social competences of cosmetologist. Attention must be put on the metrological preparation of educators who want to use drama in educations of cosmetologists due to the difficulties and danger related with its use.
