The effect of elastin on properties of hydrogels with troxerutin and rutinAneta Berner-Strzelczyk 1/, Justyna Kołodziejska 1/, Małgorzata Godlewska 1/, Grażyna Samczewska 2/, Magdalena Piechota-Urbańska 2/ 1/ Zakład Technologii Postaci Leku, Katedra Farmacji Stosowanej, Uniwersytet Medyczny w Łodzi 2/ Zakład Farmacji Aptecznej, Katedra Farmacji Stosowanej, Uniwersytet Medyczny w Łodzi Summary The aim of the study was to produce semisolid forms of drugs applied on skin with troxerutin/rutin and elastin, to test the formulations by the methods recommended for these forms of a drug and to estimate the effect of elastin on rheological parameters of the formulations and on the therapeutic substance release. The formulations were prepared on Carbopol® Ultrez 10 base. Viscosity parameters were determined using cone-plate digital rheometer. Potentiometric method was used to measure pH of the produced hydrogels. The rate of troxerutin/rutin release through a semipermeable membrane to the acceptor fluid was tested in vitro.
