Selected minerals in foods with important meaning to anti-cellulite therapy

Summary
Cellulite (GLD - Gynoid lipodystrophy, lipodystrophy of feminine sort) is one of the most commonly occurring cosmetic conditions of the skin and is regarding almost exclusively women It is manifesting itself with characteristic folding the skin, looking like the orange peel. These changes are brought about with irregularities in the range of the subcutaneous layer, located on hips, thighs, knees, belly, buttocks, more rarely on forearms and the neck. The most important factors determining the occurrence of cellulite include mainly disorders of microcirculation, sex-specific dimorphic skin architecture, improper hormonal management, However, not less attention is also directed toward environmental factors, among them the incorrect diet. This article will present the selected elements in foods with high impact on adipose tissue and the possible impact on the formation of cellulite changes. Knowledge of this issue can be very helpful in formulating a diet that counters the emergence of symptoms of GLD and to improve the effectiveness of anti-cellulite therapy.
