Summary
Research on the use of autologous tissues in aesthetic medicine treatment has been carried out for over 150 years. In view of the high efficiency of treatments with autologous tissues and no allergenic potential, continuous development of these methods has been recently observed. Autologous tissues are used in the field of aesthetic medicine, dermatosurgery and cosmetology in filling of soft tissues, treatment of injuries, scars, alopecia as well as revitalizing and rejuvenating treatments. To the most frequently used autologous tissues and cells belong: fat tissue, skin and hair. In recent years, numerous studies have been also subjected to the stem cells, fibroblasts, keratinocytes and platelet rich plasma primarily for their use in the regenerative medicine, for example in the treatment of tissue damaged by disease or injury. This paper reviews the use of autologous tissue techniques and discusses the most commonly performed procedures.

Key words: lipotransfer, stem cells, platelet rich plasma, hair restoration, skin graft
