Baranowski Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa Łódzkiej Korporacji Oświatowej w Łodzi Summary Despite the fact that Charles Nessler contributed to development of the hairdressing and cosmetology there is no biographic article devoted to him in Polish literature on cosmetology. In Polish manuals of hairdressing and cosmetology only fragmentary information about his life are presented. The aim of the article is presentation of Charles Nessler´s biography as well as highlight his professional achievements.
