Summary
Joint hypermobility syndrome (JHS) is an inherited, generalized joint laxity with associated symptoms from motoric system, skin or cardiovascular system. In patients with hypermobility a change of the ratio of type I and type III collagen has been observed, which is supposed to be the cause of dysfunctions within all tissues and organs that contain connective tissue.
