Pol J Cosmetol 2009, 12(2): 123-131pl,en  Practical considerations in cosmetologyEwa Szmaj Zakład Historii Medycyny i Farmacji Katedry Nauk Społecznych, Śląski Uniwersytet Medyczny w Katowicach Summary The article discusses practical considerations connected with the cosmetologist profession, such as: - education of the patients and taking care of likely shortage of minerals and vitamins resulting from lifestyle; - performing medical camouflage among people with skin defects, affecting negatively the quality of life; - implementing health prophylaxis, concerning above all the growth of melanoma as a result of excessive exposure to ultraviolet; - the research and introduction of new cosmetic staples to production and also new cosmetic procedures to beauty parlors, centers of biological regeneration, SPA, etc. Key words: cosmetologist, microelements, vitamins, camouflage, melanoma, sugar epilation, argan oil |
