Baranowski Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa Łódzkiej Korporacji Oświatowej w Łodzi Summary Despite the fact that Antoni Cierplikowski contributed to development of the hairdressing and fashion there is no biographic article devoted to him in Polish literature on cosmetology. In Polish manuals of hairdressing and history of fashion only fragmentary information about his life are presented. The aim of the article is presentation of Antoni Cierplikowski´s biography as well as highlight his professional achievements.
