In this case the bioactivity is conditioned by the collagen helix composed of three subunits - two subunits α and one α2, twisted spirally. This collagen was obtained from fish skins, maintaining a triple helix. Collagen itself exhibits a very high resistance to stretching. It is a perfect packing used in contemporary cosmetics.
