Chemical composition and action of cosmetics based on plant-based bee products

Summary
Honey, propolis and bee pollen are natural products that have been used in medicine and cosmetics since ancient times. Bee products are rich in carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, enzymes, phenolic acids, flavonoids, microelements, macroelements and vitamins. Due to such a numerous chemical composition, every person can find a bee product suitable for his skin, which has the proper care and healing effect. These products have numerous properties, such as: anti-inflammatory, disinfectant, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antioxidant, hydrating, peeling, regenerating, nourishing, anti-aging and analgesic. For years, they have been considered important ingredients of skin cosmetics, as well as those that can be used throughout the year, without limitation for a specific season. In addition, organic products are absolutely in demand nowadays.
