Apart from internal factors, external agents also have a significant impact on the development of the rosacea. Improper care may lead to exacerbation of the existing lesions in the course of rosacea. It is necessary to eliminate, among others, cosmetic ingredients that have irritating or warming properties. Active ingredients recommended in care can be grouped in terms of the direction of action. There are ingredients that strengthen the epidermal barrier, seal blood vessels, antioxidant and soothe. In addition to the ingredients of cosmetics, professional cosmetic treatments should also be selected accordingly. Incorrectly selected, they can lead to an exacerbation of erythema, the formation of telangiectasia, irritation and aggravation of hyper-reactivity. In professional skin care with symptoms of rosacea, it is recommended to use LED lamp, iontophoresis, oxidermabrasion and polyhydroxy acids. The aim of the study was to discuss active ingredients and cosmetic treatments recommended in the care of skin with symptoms of rosacea.
